Edinburgh Carers Council presents: Music Matters
Music Matters 26.10.17
Annual fundraising event with Adam Stafford, The Eastern Swell, Jonathan Pennington-Twist and DJ set from Jeremy Thoms (The Cathode Ray).

Edinburgh Carers Council is an independent charitable organisation that provides advocacy, information and learning opportunities for carers of people with mental health difficulties. Edinburgh Carers Council is unique in that it is the only organisation in Scotland that provides an advocacy service specifically for carers of people with mental health difficulties. This fundraiser is part of their programme of events to raise awareness and funds for mental health carers.

Adam Stafford is a musician and short film director from Falkirk, Central Scotland.
His solo albums include the Paul Savage produced "Build a Harbour Immediately" (2011), the experimental pop LPs "Imaginary Walls Collapse" (nominated for a Scottish Album of the Year Award) and Taser Revelations (2016 Song, by Toad). Current LP “Reverse Drift” (2017 Gerry Loves Records) was released alongside a photobook.
Stafford is known for his intense live performances which incorporate soul-pop, post-punk avant-garde and a capella experimentalism to dizzying effect.
“A songwriter of real depth, rich in understanding, in melodic virtuosity, his work has gradually built up into an imposing, heroic catalogue.” – Clash Magazine
