Roy Moller & The Chain Pier Group – “Semicolon” DL/Streaming single

  • Semicolon

About Roy Moller: Roy’s first solo work was the 2003 single "Maximum Smile". He has since released several solo albums, played with The Store Keys (including the last single recorded by Poets singer George Gallagher) and with Davy Henderson in the band Jesus, Baby! When Marc Riley interviewed Roy in session on BBC Radio in 2011, he called him "Scotland's best-kept secret". In 2014 Moller took My Week Beats Your Year, his musical and spoken tribute to Lou Reed, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Louder than War called it "witty, mesmerising and highly poignant”, awarding its soundtrack recording 10/10 and 9/10 for the other album he released on Stereogram that year, One Domino ("intoxicating and compulsively habit-forming"). Over the past four years Roy has taken a break from songwriting while working on his poetry volume, Be My Baby, which will be published by Dionysia Press this September. Roy has recently performed selections from it at Hame-ish and Listen Softly in Edinburgh. Having captivated to capacity crowds over the last two years with Paul Hullah, Lach and Goodbye Mr Mackenzie’s Martin Metcalfe as The Vibrating Ecstatic Now. Roy will be performing poetry and song in their new show Passionate Ones at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Roy Moller and the Chain Pier group are: Roy Moller (vocals); David Paul (guitar); Alan Cloughley (keyboards); Mads Mitchell (drums); Mike Heffron (bass)
